New Student Presentations

During the 2015-2016 school year, 5 Sonoma State University students conducted Senior Research Projects here on the Mitsui Ranch. None of them was able to carry out their original plan of researching red-legged frog (photo) breeding behavior due to a delay in the issuance of permits from the state, but they redirected their efforts quickly to other pond-related issues and accomplished quite a lot in a short time. At the end of the year, they were offered the opportunity to analyze their data and report it at the 2016 SSU Science Symposium in the form of a poster. That poster may be viewed by clicking the link below.

Congratulations to Keith Wellstone (now working for the Marin Municipal Water District); Marina Davies (graduated last December); Syd Godfrey (now a Ranger for the Wildlands Conservancy); Lizzie De Francesca and Elizabeth Grewal (both currently earning a Certificate in Field Ecology at Sacramento City College); Elizabeth was recently accepted into the Masters program for Environmental education at Western Washington University.
